From the 2018 Lentil Festival...


Baked Lentils
  • 2 cups dry lentils
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 ½  teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 teaspoon light olive oil
  • 3⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 (1 lb, 12 oz) can tomatoes, blended
 
COOK lentils in water in a saucepan. BLEND: All ingredients together, except lentils and onion. COMBINE: Lentils, chopped onion, blended ingredients. PLACE in baking dish. BAKE at 350 degrees F for 60 minutes.
